Meet The Coach

Head Football Coach Pat Mallory

E-mail Coach Mallory

Coach Pat Mallory attended Indiana University where he played football and graduated in 2000. Coach Mallory’s first job was at Center Grove High School, where he was an assistant football and track coach, the 2008 team captured the 5A state title, and the 2011 Boys won the school’s first track state championship. After 10 years at CG, Coach Mallory took over as the head coach of football and track at Knightstown High School.  His Panther football teams were 14-8 in his two years as head coach, each season reaching the sectional championship. The 2012 track team broke three school records that ranged from 25-36 years old; the 100, 200, and 4×400 meter relay. In 2012, Knightstown sent the most athletes on to the regional level in school history:  one 100 participant, 2 in the 200, 1 pole vault, 1 long jump, the 4×100 meter relay team, the 4×400 meter relay team, and 1 discus.

Now in his 8th year at the helm, the Lawrence North football program has made tremendous strides each year, putting several players into college programs at every level, with a few college players that may get an opportunity to play in the NFL as soon as 2021.  The team has played for the sectional championship twice during his tenure and is looking for big things in 2020.  The 2016 track team placed 5th in the state and the program has produced two individual state champions and several all-state athletes, including the 2019 National champion pole vaulter and Indiana Mr. Track & Field, Nathan Stone.

Coach Mallory has three children, Honour, Cale, and Breck.
